WHY CHOOSE US?
Choosing the best gutter guard for your home is quite the task and requires a lot of research.
When choosing a gutter guard, there are three things that need to be considered: your roof, your gutters, and the surrounding trees. You need to look at your roof’s style, composition, pitch, and age. You also need to determine the condition and adequacy of your existing gutters and downspouts. Finally, and probably most importantly, identifying the proximity, density, and types of trees near your home will have the largest impact on the type of gutter guards your home needs.
There are many interesting gutter guard products on the market, but in reality only a handful do what they say. After 20 years of installing, repairing, and ultimately removing various gutter guard systems, we have attained a knowledge of which guards work and which ones don’t. However, we also have learned that all guards fail eventually with enough time and debris.
There's a reason the season is called "Fall." Besides tumbling temperatures, it's that time of year when beautiful fall foliage assembles into a rotted rooftop mess, clogging gutters from coast to coast.
Whether you clean your gutters yourself, or invest in one of the many types of gutter guards, one thing is certain: cleaning your gutters is a good idea. Besides allowing water to overflow in a heavy rain, there are a dozen or more severe home defects that can be caused by blocked gutters, including flooded basements and cracked foundations.
Do-it-yourself gutter cleaning is simple enough, but it can be a dangerous job for the untrained weekend warrior. In the alternative, there are many types of gutter guards on the market to choose from, and all of them offer some sort of protection for your gutter.
For starters, hardware stores and home centers sell simple plastic or metal screens costing as little as .50 per foot. But premium gutter guards are also available. These can cost as much as $25 per foot, including labor and materials, and generally are only available through an authorized dealer.
Like most home improvement adventures, it comes down to cost and convenience. While premium gutters guards can be costly, most are effective and a bargain when you add in the cost of any emergency room visits necessitated when adding your own personal spin on the season known as "Fall."
Importance of Gutters
The purpose of rain gutters is to channel water from the roof to the downspouts and away from your home, ideally through an underground drainage system. The size of your roof and the volume of rain that it can collect determines the size of the gutters, downspouts, and drainage pipes that can adequately accomplish this goal. An inch of rain on a 1,000 square foot roof can yield 625 gallons of water.
Therefore, a faulty gutter system can result in hundreds of gallons of water being dumped directly onto the ground next to the foundation of a house. This can cause water to leak through the foundation wall and create problems in the basement or crawlspace. Because termites need water to reproduce and thrive, gutters that dump excess water near the house encourage termite infestation. Problem gutters or gutter installed incorrectly can also cause damage to your home’s structural integrity by allowing water to damage the fascia, soffit, or wood framing of the house.
We Use Only Quality Gutter Materials
Gonzalez All Gutter Inc. warranties all workmanship and material against defects. We pride ourselves in using only the highest quality materies and providing the highest in quality service.
We use top of the line, thick aluminum hidden hangers, with large three inch wood screws, for LIFETIME DURABILITY. Many installers will use the thinner hangers (or huge spikes that will start popping out and get loose over time).
We always install gutters with proper slope. So many gutters are installed with no slope, or incorrect slope, which is a major factor in the lifespan of a gutter system, and fascia or soffit board.
We install only the thick gauge (.027) aluminum stock on all our new gutters systems.
We use Geocel 2320 Tripolymer Gutter Sealant on all our gutter corners, end caps, and outlets for a 15 year + sealer. We do not use the industry standard gutter sealers which tends to deteriorate within about five years.
All of our mitred corners are custom fashioned with ‘inside or outside box mitres’, providing the greatest overall strength to all the corners. Many installers do not take the time to install box miters on all the corners, but these box miters greatly enhance the strength of the gutter system installed. Other companies will go without them to save on money or to try to keep a low balling price.
Real and honest gutter cover and gutter protection information. We use our 20 years of gutter cleaning experience to recommend only gutter covers which will actually work as promised. We recommend and install a few different products to meet most budgets.
We provide a limited workmanship warranty against any failure due to workmanship for a period of 1 year on new gutter installations. The manufacturer offers a 20-year limited finish warranty on all gutter material with the understanding that it will not blister, flake, chip, crack, peel, split, rot, red rust or structurally deteriorate as a direct result of manufacturing defects.
